manage symptoms of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Some
people get a little help from the right foods, while others improve
tremendously. The Food of the Week series is aimed at letting you

Share Your Blog -- Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

I'll say it again -- those of us with fibromyalgia and chronic
fatigue syndrome can learn more from each other than from anywhere
else! Don't believe me? Look through some
of the blog comments here, swing through the forum, and check out
my Readers Responds -- you'll find more knowledge, wisdom, strength
and inspiration there than you'll ever find in a doctor's office or
medical library. Many of us with these conditions have taken to
blogging. It takes time and energy, and of course some
days we have to fight through the fog to get the right words out,
but it's well worth the effort. We have a lot of
different reasons for blogging -- it's a way to share in...
Doing Housework With Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Ah, housework -- that constant nagging bundle of stuff we all need
to take care of, at one point or another! Fibromyalgia and chronic
fatigue syndrome make sure that we don't have the energy to keep up
on it, and that when we finally get around to it, it's going to
hurt and wear us out -- fast! I know keeping the house clean (or at
least getting it there from time to time) will always be a struggle
for me, but I've stumbled on some things that help me get it there
more often and keep it a little closer to decent more of the time.
My list of suggestions is here: Doing Housework With Fibromyalgia

Household Tips for Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Laundry

It never ends, especially if you have kids. It's always there,
waiting for you to take care of it. And when you have fibromyalgia
or chronic fatigue syndrome, doing the laundry can take a lot more
energy than you've got. I'm certain that I'm not alone in saying
that laundry can get pretty backed up in my house, and when I've
got 9 or so loads sitting there, even getting started can be
overwhelming. And it's not just energy -- laundry is tough on your
body as well. It involves lifting, carrying, bending, twisting,
reaching . . . ugh! I hurt just thinking about it! Over the past
few years, however, I have learned some tricks that help me
conserve energy and lower the p...
FDA Gets Data on Ampligen for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
NEWSBRIEF: Hemispherx Biopharma Inc. is till trying to move toward
approval for Ampligen as a chronic fatigue syndrome treatment. The
company says it has given new preclinical information to the FDA.
When the FDA announced in December that it was not approving
Ampligen, it made recommendations to the company about what was
needed to improve the drug's chances of approval down the road.
Hemispherx says the data it has just submitted should sufficiently
address some of the FDA's concerns. Ampligen is currently not
approved for any use in the US, but some doctors are prescribing it
for their chronic fatigue syndrome patients through a special
program. Learn more: Ampligen Profile In related news, Hemispherx
